Advanced Profile

  • Morning!

    Just a quick one (I hope). I need a section on my website for an “advanced profile” so, when a user registers they’re asked just for their basic info like name and Email, then at a later stage they can fill out their “advanced” information like date of birth etc. How can I achieve this?

    Also, it may be worth noting, when a user registers their information is sent over to my Podio database, I’d need this to also happen with the advanced profile too!

  • Advanced profile: not so easy, but possible. Put on a page the shortcode [s2Member-Profile /], read about it at “Dashboard -> s2M -> General Options -> Member Profile Modifications”. This will be the “member’s account” page with the advanced info. Set all need fields at “Dashboard -> s2M -> General Options -> Registration/Profile Fields & Options”, all “non-required”. Then create a new page with usual “WP registration” form. You show it to the customer. S/he registers and goes to the “member’s account” page with more fields.

    As for Podio synchronization, this really needs custom code.

    Try contacting Krum. He has done lots of synchronisation work with s2Member. He might very well be able to create something for you.
