I make changes and it works. the next morning. I see the changes revert. what’s happening. are the language files saved in folders that I am not supposed to? by the way I am using it to translate woocomerce. I simply translate some few words works fine after saving and the next day everything is gone back. can you help?

ok thank you tim. I created a new woocommerce folder here /wp-content/languages/woocommerce. and I copied the .po and .mo files there. it’s working now although I am not seeing some of the translations. on the loco plugin, it says 4 untranslated. checking and going through the translations, every word that i translated, i can still see the translated version under the translation tab. going through the .po and .mo files, i can see all the translations there, but they are not reflecting front page. i mean the translations are workign now when i moved to the new path or directory i mentioned earlier. but some few words haven’t been translated yet although the on the loco plugin and in the .mo and .po file they have all been translated.

this custom folder location is not supported by Loco. It won’t look in there for the files you’ve moved.

so how is it it possible that the other translations are still working. however i still have the .po and .mo files within the original path. what i have in the custom folder is just a copy. for the first time nothing has changed at least in the past 12 hours. And i hope it’s solved. previously all the translations worked. the only thing was that after like 30 min, everything went back to original. i tried translating on several times and still having the same problem till i eventually saw that about two words were not being translated on the cart page (cart and quantity). although after a while like some few minutes the rest of the translations would go back to the original. so these two words that were not able to translate started even before i copied the .mo and .po files to the custom folder. the only difference now is that, it seems the translations are not going to revert automatically, but the words that couldn’t translate when they hadn’t been moved still are not translated. the others are now. i don’t know if something has happened to the file. is it possible that I download fresh woocommerce .mo and .po files again and then translate and replace all the old .mo and .po files with the new translation files?

or should i go into the .pot file and change the original phrases directly. or the original phrases found in the .po file can be changed directly for the changes to take effect?
