Fatal error: Cannot redeclare

  • I am getting this error message when trying to access the wp dashboard.
    Have updated wp manually and I’m still getting the same messages. Help!

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare url_shorten() (previously declared in /home/bushido1/public_html/reginaldmcdonald.com/wp-includes/formatting.php:4786) in /home/bushido1/public_html/reginaldmcdonald.com/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 267

    /home/bushido1/public_html/reginaldmcdonald.com/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 267

    You’ve still got the older version of that file on your server, so you need to replace it with the copy of the file from WP4.4 instead.

    Deleted the old files and I’m still getting the same message:

    If worse comes to worse can you point towards the instructions for starting over as the pages of my site can still be reached, not the graphics.
