I have a weird requirement. I need to create a specialized page for just one person. On that page, I need to create a list of calendar entries compressed as much as possible in order to facilitate copying/pasting into a Word document. In an ideal world, it would look like this:

Sat. Jan 23: Event Title; Wed. Feb 3: Event Title; Sat. Mar. 26: Event Title; Sat. Apr. 23: Event Title

Is there any chance I could do this on one of my pages while still keeping my standard grid and standard list on other pages of my site? Note that the really critical aspect is removing the heavy formatting of the date. Ideally, there wouldn’t be forced line breaks either, but I could live with the line breaks since they could delete the line breaks once they copied it into Word.

    Thanks … Jeff

    Jeff,

You should be able to do this by creating another calendar and adjusting the settings of that one as you need – separate from your other “pretty” calendars.

You can check out these to see if they would help you get the formatting you need: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/

Hi Nick … I REALLY appreciate your getting back to me as quickly as you did. This plugin looks really awesome. I had already read all about the event template tags but the key was the “Compact List”. When I tried that I was in “Preview Mode” … and it didn’t seem to do anything. When I actually did an update and viewed the page, it was EXACTLY what I wanted!!!!

Thanks for such a truly awesome plugin … I’ll be buying the Pro version in a week or so.

    Thanks … Jeff
