Thanks for the report! It looks like there is an issue with Jetpack’s connection on the site. That is likely responsible for the trouble that you’ve been having with Publicize.

Could you please try disconnecting and then reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com?

To do so, navigate to Dashboard > Jetpack. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Disconnect from WordPress.com” link. After doing so, click the “Connect to Get Started” button to reconnect.

Please let me know when you have done so, and I will check that your connection is working properly on our end.

    Hi,
I disconnected and reconnected JetPack from my WordPress.com account–doesn’t seem to have helped with the sharing buttons showing an image and correct post title.

    Thanks!

My apologies! I misread your initial message and thought you were having trouble with Publicize. But it sounds like you’re having trouble with the sharing buttons.

When you share one of your posts, Facebook crawls your site and searches for images that can fit its requirements to be displayed in the Preview window. You can help Facebook by defining Open Graph meta tags, and adding links to the image you want to share on Facebook among these meta tags.

I had another look at the post that you linked to, and noticed that there are duplicate Open Graph tags. It looks like one set is being loaded by Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin and the other set is being loaded by another plugin or your theme. You can see this yourself by viewing the source of the link, and looking at lines 23-36 and 42-51. You’ll need to remove these duplicate tags in order for your posts to appear properly on Facebook.

Also, it looks like there is still an issue with Jetpack’s connection on your site. That might not be directly responsible for the trouble you’re experience now, but could lead to other issues. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

Please include a link to this thread in your message. Thanks!
