Buddypress Activity Plus icons not showing

How are you doing today?

I’ve checked this on my sandbox site and everything seems to be fine on WordPress 4.4, using latest BuddyPress and BuddyPress Activity Plus and buttons do appear on activity page, please see screenshot

I’ve checked your site and I’m not being able to see activity page anywhere on your site.

Can you please check if you have activity stream checked as your buddypress component in Settings -> BuddyPress https://screencast.com/t/MKCKuviWB8 and also if you have page create for it https://screencast.com/t/wB5JK0frgK.

I’ve already seen this page, but it is missing the “What’s new” input field where you can post/update your activity along side ActivityPlus icons that allows you to add images, links and videos so this is related to BuddyPress in general rather then ActivityPlus. I’ve also checked the HTML on that page to see if this is just related to CSS but there is no such element there.

As you’ve already tested for plugin conflicts can you please test if this is related to the theme that you’re using by switching to one of the default WordPress themes like TwentyFifteen.

The “What’s new” input field is visible on this page as you can see with the default theme:

As you can see the Activity Plus icons are still not visible.

I’ve tried checking your site again but you switched back to your original theme, so this is definitely theme related. ActivityPlus buttons should appear once you click on the input field to insert text for your activity.

Which theme are you using?

If you check the pictures I have included in my last reply you can see the icons also do not show when I use the custom theme. So I guess there is something else that goes wrong.

This is really odd, last time I checked the activity page with being logged I couldn’t see the input field.

I can see the single js warning on your site which shouldn’t really affect this. I can see that the buttons are not being displayed now. Are you getting the same behavior when using the default theme?

Are you using any security plugins or something related to user permissions that would prevent user from seeing those?

Yes in the default theme I’m also not able to see the icons. As I said in the first post I already tried turning of all other plugins, but the icons still didn’t show.

Please help me with this one.

I was also referring to anything security related you might have on your server (as a part of your hosting plan) related to security.

Can you also let me know of your server php version?
