• Hi there

    I’ve just started my own blog using the Blue Box theme on my own server space (DreamHost) and I want to be able to allow people to add comments to my pages. That is, Pages, rather than regular blog posts.

    At the moment I just have two “Pages” listed in my menu bar, “About” and “Downloads”, when I go to the “Manage > Pages” section of my dashboard, under the discussion settings on the right hand of the page, the “Allow Comments” and “Allow Pings” check boxes are both ticked. However, when viewing either of the pages (live and published) there does not appear to be any link that allows for comments?

    Is adding comments actually possible from these “Pages”?

    TIA

    Liam

    Anyone?

    Bumping your own post results only in:
    a) annoying helpers;
    b) removing your topic from the “unanswered” queue where most helpers start looking when coming online…

    Yes, it is possible, search for “comments on pages” and similar keywords… you will have to edit your Page template.

    Apologies.

    a) I thought roughly 24 hours without a response was a reasonable enough amount of time for a bump.
    b) I wasn’t aware there was an “unanswered” queue that helpers looked at when coming online.
    c) Will search for “comments on pages”.
    d) Thank you. I think. ??
