How to default links to open in new window

How can I configure WordPress to make all links open in a new window? I don’t think it’s very nice of me (or any other website) to throw away whatever information the user was already displaying (in this case, my website). I understand some take the opposite philosophical approach and feel it is rude to assume the user wishes to preserve information and force links to open on a new page, when the user can otherwise elect to do so. I feel precisely the opposite – that I should preserve the user’s information, and if the user chooses to do so, they can dismiss the previous page. At any rate, how can I configure WordPress to open all links in a new page by default?
