• I am struggling with this; I’ve already wasted so much time on something I’ve already done twice before.

Why is this so difficult? I can’t find the page I need to alter the menu bar on the home page to link to a new page I’ve just created. I read the help file on Pages; it doesn’t explain this simple and I presume common requirement.

Please forgive a stupid question. I would be obliged if someone could point me to a succinct resource that explains the structure of this program. All I want to know is which editable files exist in which directories. For crying out loud.

  • I don’t really know what to tell you but this is how I do it: I write a page via Admin panel then go to write page…Write–> Write Page.

After I write what I need to, I make sure the page status (in the tab on the right) has published selected; the Page Parent is selected to say Main Page unless I want it to be a subcategory of another page that I already made; the Page Template says default template; then I save it and it automatically is in my Menu bar.

Thanks Spiewgels, I had those options selected but it wouldn’t work. I managed to work it out by editing the header.php file. Just took me a while to find out which theme header.php was under. Appreciate your reply ??

Okay, cool…glad you find your solution!
