    It says that the theme supports Site Logo but there is no option to upload the logo under Appearance > Customize. Why?

    Sounds like you were looking at the WordPress.com showcase. On self-hosted sites, the Jetpack plugin will get you the Site Logo feature in the Customizer. Let me know if that does the trick!
