Simple email address submit?

  • Hey guys. Been playing around with WP a couple of days now and I love it!

    I’m planning to send newsletters occasionally, but via a different newsletter software. I saw the WordPress Newsletter plugin but I’m looking for a far more simple solution where a person signs up for the newsletter and it just collects the email addresses somewhere that I can see them.

    So I’m NOT planning to send my newsletters via the WordPress plugin. All I need is a box where people can sign up and I get their email addresses.

    What to do?

    Could you just use a contact form to ask the user to submit an Email address to you?

    If this isn’t what you’re looking for, what do you mean by ‘I get their email address’? How do you want to ‘get it’?

    ?? Oh, I mean where I could generate a list of the submitted email addresses. Like in any cms there’s a list of users who have signed up for newsletters.

    Of course it’s not really a problem to install the plugin, just thinking of other ways of doing it.
