if auction is created like a post, why can not see it like a post?

Hello there,
When a new auction is created, I guess it is made like a post. I supose that because when a single auction is shown, it seems to use single.php WP core file.
Is that right? If it is Yes, why cannot see auctions in WP BO like the other posts?
