How to make ElasticSearch power this plugin instead of default wordpress search?

Ajax plugin is a great way to implement live search. But as far I understood it was still powered by default wordpress search, which by itself is rudimentary.
Is there a simple hack to connect this plugin with ElasticSearch Server Url instead of default wordpress engine?
