You don’t need an add-on make a link to a different page with a specific tab open.

You can use the ‘target’ url parameter – eg:

To open a tab with the title ‘Phone Numbers’ on a tabgroup on the contact page, you would form the link url like this:

    yoursite.com/contact/?target=phone-numbers

The ‘tabby link to tab’ add-on is not needed (or appropriate) for this usage as it was was created to enable a link to open a tab on the same page without forcing a page reload.

Thank you so much! I spent a couple of hours trying to figure out how to do this, and I didn’t know it was that simple. Appreciate it! ??

Would it be possible to have the tabs provide a copyable link on hover? That would help users of the site be able to link to specific tabs in a page. There’s not really a good way for them to discover they need to add a ?target= to the end of the URL manually.

As this question is not related to the subject of this resolved topic, you should have started a new thread to ask this as I may not have seen it.

What you’re requesting is not supported as it was not part of the scope when the plugin was designed. It might be possible to add this, but I probably wouldn’t be able to spare the time to work on it unless I needed it for one of my own projects, or if someone was to commission the work.
