Volunteers answering questions on these support forums tend to search for topics with “no replies” – so all the people who have posted with additional questions & comments on this topic are not helping il_dandi get a response to their question! Per the forum guidelines, create your own topics! Refrain from chiming in “me too!” since this keeps the question from being answered. It’s fine to check the box “Notify me of follow-up post via email” so that you can stay in the loop – but it’s highly improbable you have exactly the same project with exactly the same needs as the original poster, and you deserve your own question. ??
Back to the original poster:
@il_dandi, you can certainly do some of these things from multisite, but in general, you want to avoid multisite if you can help it – it is very complex, and comes with its own set of issues.
When you say that you need to manage four different news areas, can you be more specific? Maybe you can point us toward some existing content, or outline the idea of what you’re trying to do? I’m asking this because there may be ways to do this from within a single website using tags and categories, which would be much easier to manage. OR, do you mean that you need news areas with completely different domains?
When you say you need to manage two different product areas, do you mean that you need to have different online stores at different domains?
