    Hi, what you are saying is that the new plugin version with WordPress 4.4 somehow corrupted your download links?

    Did you by any chance also updated any other plugin? Did you checked your download links?

    Hi, I get exactly the same error message after updating to WordPress 4.4 in a website that I am developing offline (so haven’t updated a live website yet).
    If I go to the settings page and in the admin options select ‘Disable download logs’ then the downloads work fine for different types of file download. But then I’m not getting updates about the number of downloads, so it’s not a great workaround.

    I have released an update that should fix that issue on WP 4.4
