• I’m designing my site on my own computer localhost but wordpress now needs updating to the new version , how do I keep the work that I have done safe . I have tried to back up everything to dropbox but I don’t have enough room , tried one drive they will not allow local host back up .I use the updraftplus plugin but it says incomplete because it cant put it anywhere google drive says error 400 redirect-uri-mismatch
    can some one help please

    The parts you need to back up are the files and the database on your computer. You can save them to another directory on your PC ore Mac.

    The files are easy but read this for using phpMyadmin.

    With both the file and a complete backup saved, there’s not really much harm you can do in updating. If it goes badly then you can restore the backups.

    It should not go badly, but making that backup first is a very good thing.

    thanks for getting back I used duplicator plugin I got two files and uploaded the to Microsoft one drive do you think that means my site is fully backup now
