• Hi thanks for the great plugin.

I have a private site running with wp-members installed. Users can log in on the homepage to see content, which is all private.

Trouble is, users are logging in fine, but when they go to view a post they get the restricted post dialog. If they refresh the page, they get the right content.

The site is running on a twentytwelve child theme, with only minimal mods. The only plugin is “Configure SMTP”.

The only other thing is that the site runs in a subfolder rather than on the root domain.

Frustratingly, it’s an intermittant problem, so I have only been able to replicate it once or twice. I am getting lots of complaints from people unable to see content.

Any ideas why this could be happening?

    kind regards

Yes, that is frustrating. Without knowing what’s going on, it’s pretty difficult to track.

The plugin uses the WP function wp_signon to log the user in. This process sets the auth cookie that WP uses to maintain login state.

If you have any customization of the login process, I would look at that to see if the auth cookie is being set correctly.
