• I have finished my latest newsletter on MailPoet and it won’t send the newsletter preview (necessary for final edit/link assessment). I tried in both the newsletter edit page and also the subsequent ‘final step’ page where there are options to click “Send Preview”. Usually this works fine for me, but only once did it not work and I was advised to use the SendGrid mailout service, which I still use.
    Any advice welcome.

  • Hi,

Can you run a test at Mail-tester.com and reply with the results?

    Thanks!

Score is 6.3/10, “Not bad. Some inboxes might still refuse you”.
There is also this comment: “You can’t use a Gmail address if you’re not sending from Gmail.
Either you send with Gmail’s SMTP or change your FROM address using your own domain.”
Which raises the question; I have sent out maybe a dozen email newsletters using a Gmail address without problem and previews were sent to me nicely. Why now?
Anyway, I can if necessary set up a new email account now that it is being blocked.
    Comments?

We suggest you create a FREE SendGrid account to send your newsletters with: https://support.mailpoet.com/knowledgebase/sendgrid/

    This matter is not resolved.
I already have a SendGrid account. I used the settings recommended by both MailPoet and SendGrid.
The newsletter preview is still not being sent.
I would appreciate some assistance with this. thanks in advance.

    Further to the message above, I went to SendGrid activity monitor, which indicated that the email newsletter preview had been sent for my latest newsletter. However, it was never received at my email account. Some details given about the email sent are as follows;
    [email protected]-ID<[email protected]>

No idea if this is useful. Help still required. Please.

Do a test again with Mail-tester.com and send us the test URL so we can investigate. This is probably a Spam Score related issue.

There is a comment that says “You can’t use a Gmail address if you’re not sending from Gmail”. However, I changed out the Gmail address and it still won’t send the Newsletter preview

    RE:Mail Poet newsletter preview

I am having the same problem as of today…

When I sent previews before, they took about 5 min but finally went through…

Today it’s been 15 min, I’ve sent the preview 3 times with no luck…

Just did an update to my theme to Twenty Fourteen Version: 1.6 Don’t know if that has anything to do with it…

    Site… https://donavantwebsites.com/

    Thanks in advance…

    I have 3 gmail accounts and it’s the same…

Tried to send to all 3 again and no response..

    Just thought of something…

Copy and pasted PART of a CNN copyrighted story in the news letter…Might THAT have something with the problem?

K…It’s going to SPAM but only 1 account…

    What happened?

    Last 2 newsletters worked perfectly…What’s changed…

    I don’t think it’s anything I did…

You could try to set up a non-Gmail account. Your message “You can’t use a Gmail address if you’re not sending from Gmail” is pretty specific.
Also, the solution I had was to deactivate and delete MailPoet, and then reinstall it. It seems to reset any quirks and worked for me.

    Hi,

You shouldn’t be using a Gmail address as a FROM address. Can you create an email address on your domain to use a FROM address?
