    Hello, we are unable to get the admin email and the purchase receipt to go through anymore. It started a few weeks ago. The site is: jojocohatmakers.com & my company manages the site (Brian Hall Inc). I’ve done some digging and have found that the “from” address is [email protected]. I have no idea how this is generated, but is there any way to change it? For one thing, that “fake” email has been blacklisted, and we also really don’t want the customers for JoJoCo Hatmakers to see our name in the email header. Is there a way to change this?

  • This exact same issue has just started happening to me as well. Order notifications not being sent to admin or purchasers (whether they are paying manually or via PayPal).

    Any help most appreciated.

    Check under Store -> Admin tab
    make sure the settings are filled in.

    Info is filled in. Admin message & receipt only sent if “order accepted” manually selected in orders panel.

    If your are using the manual gateway then thats the normal behaviour. Emails are sent automatically when order is accepted

    So, after talking to my host, I got everything un-blacklisted, so the emails are working again. If anyone thinks they may have been hacked and might be blacklisted, go to https://mxtoolbox.com to check.

    Now, for my second issue, I would really like to figure out how the from address is being generated? I really don’t like people seeing “[email protected]” when brianhallinc has nothing to do with jojocohatmakers.com, other than that we manage the site. Any insight?

    The From email is under Store -> admin if i recall

    Ok, so I just realized that in the “Purchase Receipt – Reply Address” it says: Jojoco Hatmakers

    for some reason, the actual from address is then this:
    Jojoco Hatmakers <“Jojoco Hatmakers”@brianhallinc.com>

    I had it backwards before. Why is the @brianhallinc being added?

    Could be from the Store -> General settings the Email under which WordPress was setup initially
