xml sitemap stopped working

  • * please note that I did not set this up and know very little about the topic, i am just trying to troubleshoot the issue.

    My site (www.tvbigboard.com) was setup with a google friend site map tool. I believe the sitemap tool used was the following:

    Plugin Name: Google Sitemaps
    Plugin URI: https://www.arnebrachhold.de/2005/06/05/google-sitemaps-generator-v2-final

    For some reason the sitemap generator seems to have stopped working – google is now getting a 404 error when it attempts to download the sitemap. Does anyone know the reason for this and how I would go about resolving it?

  • First thing I would look for is to see if the sitemap.xml file is where it’s supposed to be.

    This 404’s for me. Where specifically is the file?

    You have this but that’s not an xml sitemap. Got a link to the one that is being looked for?
