    Hi there
Ian having quite a few problems with infections at the moment and it has been suggested that i either remove or move directories vulnerable in my public_html/wp-content/updraft/themes-old and another public_html/wp-content/themes-old

    My question is
    a) do i need them?
    b) if i do need them how do i put them in a non public domain?

    I am a novice.

    Thanks. My site is https://www.mamalovesparis.com

  • The only theme you really need is the active one. All others can be deleted or backed up if you want to reference them in the future.

Similarly you only need to keep active plugins. Other plugin folders can be deleted or backed up.

    Thanks so much Mario

I will delete them as i understand they make my site vulnerable. I just don’t know where to find them and then how to delete them.
Can you help me with that.

    Many thanks

Clicking into the Appearance and Plugins sections from the left navigation will take you to the areas where you can what is active and what can be deleted. To delete an inactive theme, click on Theme Details for each theme and then a delete option should appear at the lower right.
