    Hi,

I have a form that doesn’t work if I use a custom email from the domain as a recipient.

Like for example my website/domain is mywebsite.com.

Then the custom email as a recipient that I use is [email protected] – this doesnt work and shows some error that says “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact administrator by other way.”

I tried to fix by Googling the issues but no luck. Maybe someone could help?

    Thank You So Much!

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues. Most people that work through this information appear to be able to resolve their email sending & receiving issues.

If you find you need more detailed advice, after reading and working through the above links, please include a link to your Contact Form 7 form plus all your input in the Form and Mail sections of the CF7 interface. This should allow others to understand your actual problem and offer a possible solution.

    Thanks for your help.

I use “WP-Mail-SMTP” and I can still receive the error when using the form…

Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.

However, I check my email and the test message was successfully sent.

    Any similar issues?

    Thanks!

Adding to this as I’ve just been searching the forum for the same issue. It can be replicated as I have the very same issue (except I’m using SMTP-STARTTLS). Fails when I use my custom domain but works fine when I use the contact demo form. And the SMTP test email works fine also.

    I fixed the issue.

Make sure that custom email you use are valid and using your website hosting MX records.

Now mine works even without using WP-Mail-SMTP.

    Hope this helps.

    GL!

Thanks, Julius – I’ll give it a go!
