    My website is having a hard time loading. When I go to the post editor, it constantly tells me the connection was lost. My site (aliciarades.com) is hosted on Bluehost. I have another site (aliciaradesauthor.com) that is hosted on the same account (as a subdomain) and using WordPress 4.3.1 as well, and it seems to run fine. I’m wondering if something is wrong with my aliciarades.com domain that it is having a hard time connecting to the server, which is why it takes forever to load the page. I’ve done what I can up to this point to try to make it faster by changing themes, getting rid of plugins, etc. but it hasn’t seemed to speed up the site.

    I also recently changed domains. My old one was aliciaradeswriter.com, but now the same site shows aliciarades.com. Maybe that was the problem, but the person who helped me change my domain can’t find any problems. Can that cause connection issues?

    I have had the same problem while connected to other people’s Internet, and other people have reported my site as slow.

    Does anyone have any idea what might be causing it and/or how to fix the slow loading site?

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    If you still have the same problem with no plugins enabled and Twenty Fifteen theme active, especially from the Dashboard, then the issue is definitely on your server’s end, and I recommend contacting your hosting provider about that.
