• seriously, why the heck has it be so complicated with this fkng template-shit? Spend hours to get it working!

First, to use the portfolio thing, there is no such option in my wordpress installation: Portfolio Projects. Cannot choose it under settings -> writing -> Portfolio Projects.

Could be that theres no such option in german installations or network-multisite setups. But I cannot get it running! i.m.o. little sloppy documentation…

The portfolio custom post type is available when you activate Jetpack’s Custom Content Types module.

The readme.txt file includes additional setup details – if you need further help, just let me know.

    also, be nice

I have to sympathise with Maiskolben and agree the documentation is poor and much worse, is misleading. I wasted hours too before discovering that Jetpack is required. And only then by finding a post by Maiskolben.

I definitely see how this is frustrating and we apologize for that. The theme’s readme.txt explains the Jetpack requirement for custom post types, but we realize that (1) Unfortunately www.remarpro.com does not pull that information into the theme directory, and (2) Many folks install the theme from their dashboard so they don’t think to look in the readme file. Because of this, we’re in the process of adding a Jetpack dependency notification to our themes as they get resubmitted to www.remarpro.com, which will make it much more obvious. Thanks for bearing with us through this transition process.

I’m going to close this thread now but if anyone needs further help with anything in Blask, don’t hesitate to start a new thread and we’ll be glad to help.
