Problems after moving WordPress site to new host

    Hello there.

    I have recently moved my WordPress site to a new host. The list was hacked on the old host and I had to move it by installing WordPress on my new host and then restoring from an Updraft Plus backup.

    The site is visible now, but there are some minor issues with how it looks. That’s ok because I can fix those issues.

    My problem is that #1, the login screen doesn’t look right. Number 2, I can’t login with my user accounts. I have checked the database via PHPMyAdmin and the username and password that I am using are correct but for the life of me it won’t let me in.

    I believe the issue may be that I didn’t restore the site correctly and when I imported the old database into the new database it messed something up.

    The site is https://www.simplybetternaturally.com and if you visit https://www.simplybetternaturally.com/wp-admin you can see that it doesn’t look right.

    Any ideas you have would be most helpful.

    Are you using any plugins to control or override the login process.
    Aan you set up a new administrator user in the database?
    Have you checked your WP-config file for correct set up?

    No plugins that control or override logins.

    Let me explain the process that I undertook to move the site:

    The original site was on another host that was infected with Malware and they were very little help in getting it straightened out. So I moved to a new host.

    I had a backup of the site including the database.

    I installed a fresh WP install on the new host

    I logged in to the fresh install and restored from Updraft Plus

    Problem is that the old table prefix was wp_ and the new database was something different.

    I changed wp_config so that the table prefix was wp_ which made the site accessible but of course the original login for the fresh install didn’t work but neither did the logins from the imported database.
