My website is 'down'!!! Please help!!

Did you recently move the site to a new hosting provider?

it takes me to the original sign in and set up page??? not only me of course – but anyone who access the address!!

No not moved anything! it was fine this morning – and early this afternoon – but in the lastest hour or so – just not there anymore!

What most likely happen is your database is messed up somehow.

I would call your hosting and see if they can fix or roll back your database.

Ive been onto them already – they feel it is a wordpress issue as the main wordpress website if not linkable either!!

I use Zen – im worried that anyone can now build a new site on my domain!!!

You should be able to try to repair the database via myphpadmin.

How comfortable are you with accessing your hosting myphpadmin?

can you roll back database from cpanel? I do have backup for the site but only accessible from the wordpress dashboard!

not very comforatable – id always prefer someone skilled to do it for me of course! But i’d give it a go! Where do I start?

Who is your hosting provider?

1. Login to phpMyAdmin.
2. Select the database and click on ‘Structure’ tab.
3. Right under the list of table there is a “Check All” link. Click on it to select all tables.
4. From a “With selected:” drop-down menu right next to it, choose “Check table”.

Then this:

1. Login to phpMyAdmin
2. Choose the affected database. If you only have one database, it should choose it by default so you don’t need to do anything.
3. In the main panel, you should see a list of your database tables. Check the boxes by the tables that need repair.
4. At the bottom of the window just below the list of tables, there is a drop down menu. Choose “Repair Table”

ok – Zen are dealing with it – the serves aren’t talking correctly!!! They say it is there problem now – just gotta wait now for the to sort – Im not the only one apparently! thanks anyway.

Sorry this should be under the wp_options table I believe
