how to add new header

I have tried everything I can think of even uploading my header image (ftp) directly to the header folder where the sample headers are. Uploading to media library doesn’t work. I thought these sample header images must have been installed by adding the plugin but I now realise they might come with the theme.
Help is appreciated ??

Did you figure out how to add a header?

If not, here’s how:
Go to Appearance –> Header. Click “Add new image” and click “Save.”

Then, edit the page you want to add the header to. It’ll now appear in the choices of headers near the bottom of the page. Just select the new header, then save the page. That’s it.

I just added a header for the first time in several years, and had to figure out how to do it again. ?? It took a while, as it’s not exactly intuitive.
