• Out of the blue I started getting the message when bringing up my website – “This Account Has Been Suspended”

So I searched the Internet and found a lot of people had this problem. I read MANY responses but they ALL just petered out with no solution.

The obvious solution is to pay your hosting bill. Yeah, you can get it for that but still, ALOT of people like me are fully paid up.

I worked with my host support to no solution.

Then, I upgraded from win 8.1 to win 10 thinking this has got to fix the problem.

    Wrong.

So not only could I NOT view my website I could not even sign in to admin and if one more person suggested I clear my cache I thought I’d go crazy. I even cleared DNS cache.

    Solution:

I ran this by a lot of people but finally a network expert instantly said, “what about your local host?”

I looked at it and sure enough there were links to my website. He told me to just comment out those links. It worked!

    Here is the procedure:

    1, Go to c:/windows/systems32/drivers/etc
    2. Find file named hosts. Open it with notepad.
    3. Look for any uncommented lines. In my case there appeared both the IP www and non-www links to my website.
    4. Comment out the lines out.
    5. Save the file. I did not have to re-boot.

After doing this I brought up the site and it appeared. Then I tried to sign into the account on wordpress admin and that worked fine too and been using it just fine since.

So if you see a post by someone here or anywhere have mercy on them and point them to this solution if you can.

    Hope it helps.

    Jerry
