Same email can be used to subscribe multiple time

Hi, the subscription is single, the same subscriber is updated if he try a second subscription (may where you offer new options).

The confirmation link you reported is only a link to show the message, is not the confirmation link. The confirmation link display an error if you change it. The parameter are passed over from the confirmation link. Anyway I’ll surely check that. Are you using a custom confirmation page?

Thank you for listening. First of all you have developed a wonderful plugin.

In the backend, we do not see a second entry for the same subscriber, it’s true. But in the front end the user needs to see an error that you are already subscribed.

No the confirmation link does not show an error upon changing parameter which it should. Just try to subscribe using the subscription form on your own site and when you see the URl after submit, try changing few characters in the last string and see.

No I am not using any custom confirmation page. I just created a newsletter page that shows the confirmation page.

Can we infact create a custom confirmation page? how?

Hi, if you change the character in the final url you see, which just generates a message, you won’t get an error, but it’s just a message, there is no problem with the confirmation link in which, if you change the characters, the confirmation will be blocked.

About multiple subscription there is no a second entry, the subscriber is always the same and it’s not correct to show an error message is already subscribed.

If I come back to your site after months and I decide to subscribe because I forgot I’m already a subscriber what is my experience in seeing that error. The subscription process should be as frictionless as possible. Just my opinion. Actually it doesn’t matter if he was already subscribed. More, being able to subscribe and confirm the subscription he can get access another time to his profile, while having an error that is not possible.

About custom confirmation page, check the subscription configuration panel, you can set a custom url as confirmation url.
