• Hi!

First, thanks for a great tool and a great, super flexible theme that comes with it and is customizable even for css-unsavvy people like me. ??

I use the Inkblot theme with Webcomic, and though everything looks fine (site is WIP), I can’t navigate the comics.

    Here’s the site: https://www.dracoliche.de/crowbait/
There are two cartoons uploaded at the moment for testing, both are content of the storylines View All and Fool’s Errand.

On the front page, the latest can be seen as intended, but try to use the navigation; it won’t work.

Same with the Storylines (the menu on top, starting with “View All”, are technically storylines), the lates comics (Fresh Bait) or the overall Archives: they work once, but if you try to open a single cartoon from there, the content will show no cartoon.

Integration is active, dynamic webcomic navigation too (it seems that both make no difference).

Any ideas what I mucked up?

    Cheers,
    Ril

Thanks Rilyn! Apologies for the trouble… looking at your site, I’m not entirely sure what’s going on. It looks like WordPress is loading Webcomic posts as regular posts, but I can’t imagine why it would be doing that. I just sent you an email; hopefully we can figure this one out.

    Hi Mike,

thanks for your quick answer! ??

The comics show now since I’ve set the Permalinks to default, and navigation works as well.

What so far does not work is that it always switches through all storylines, instead of keeping to one storyline first and then switching to another. But that’s a minor issue.

Odd is that the widget for latest comics (Headline: Fresh Bait) doesn’t show in the right column on the front page.

Thanks for the update Rilyn! Storylines don’t actually affect navigation by default; navigation is based solely on the publish date of the webcomic posts. There are some parameters on the *_webcomic_link() template tags, however, that will let you limit navigation to a particular storyline. It gets a little complicated, unfortunately, because of how flexible things are in Webcomic; if you need some assistance sorting that out let me know.

The Recent Comic widget not showing on the homepage is probably because no collection was specified. By default, Webcomic tries to grab recent comics from the “current” collection… but the homepage doesn’t belong to any Webcomic collection so there’s nothing for the widget to use. Specifying a collection –?either by selecting (all collections) or a single one – should correct the issue.
