Oops! My bad. I first put this on someone else’s topic which is now marked as ‘resolved’ (it’s so NOT), but advice is to start a new topic.

OK, so I’m an IT dummy.

    I have cleared my cache.

    My visual editor is enabled.

I have read ‘these steps’ and checked the release notes.

I have logged out, logged in again, refreshed endlessly and even tried praying.

BUT the Yoast fields are blank.

    The traffic light is black.

Nothing happens when I click on the symbols even though the URL tells me it’s doing whatever the symbol is meant to do (eg post=4250&action=edit#wpseo-meta-section-content).

My previous Yoast SEO data is gone – at least I can’t find it.

AND I can’t actually meaningfully edit my posts either. I tried to add a link to a post, and the editor no longer allows me to scroll down the content while maintaining the toolbar at the top of the page. When I click on the ‘add link’ icon, I lose the ability to scroll AT ALL. The only option to get out of it is to click on ‘update’ even though no updates have been made.

    My website is https://www.redzaustralia.com

Hope someone out there can help.

    Thanx, Marion

Hi again! If anyone’s reading this, the problem was fixed after clearing my browser cache for the 2nd time (1st time didn’t make any difference). I disabled the Yoast SEO plugin, cleared the browser cache, activated Yoast SEO then edited a post. The editor now works properly, and the Yoast data and symbols are now live.

Here’s a link to the instructions for clearing your cache: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/
