• I’ve looked through the list of image plugins and I’m not sure from the brief descriptions if any will do what I need.

I need to be able to create/modify images on the fly. My host (DreamHost) has ImageMagick installed, so I know it’s possible on the server end…I’m looking for a way to do it from within WP.

Basically I have a default image, and need to dynamically add an expiration date and a few other details to the image itself. Does anything even remotely similar exist as a WP plugin?

    Anyone?

I’m not sure exactly what you are looking for–do you want a plugin that can sort of do “photoshop lite” kind of alteration of your images through the web admin panel? I don’t really know of any that do that. Most of the image plugin basically allow you to change the thumbnail sizes and such, or add things to galleries. My Plugin AWSOM Pixgallery does allow you to watermark an image automatically, but currently it’s done with your blog title as a text overlay or with an image overlay (which you can provide).

It’s set to use GD as the image manipulation library though, but that’s usually installed on most php installations by default.

That’s moving in the right direction. I don’t care what it uses (GD, ImageMagick, etc.) Just as long as I can overlay additional information to a stock image. I’ll check out your plugin…
