How to donate for different projects at once?

I wonder what’s the reason why the cart can only contain 1 donation?

On one of my sites, I have several different donation projects configured. If visitors would like to donate for more than one project, they have to fulfill separate payments processes for each project and thereby possibly leaving the process without paying.

Another thing is that I have to pay transaction costs for each project ??

Is there a way to add several donations for different projects to the cart?
