Media uploader not working in my theme

  • When I try to upload an image using the image uploader in my theme I get the message ‘An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.’.

    When I switch to the twentyfifteen theme, I can see that the images WERE uploaded, they just won’t show in my theme. The theme I am using I made myself, there are no plugins or anything that could be causing this. I am working on a locally installed wordpress site on xxamp, this site is not live.

    In wp-content/uploads I can also see the images have been uploaded correctly.

  • Try by installing new and latest WordPress and check your theme there. If not work again, try by using latest PHP version also. This problem may arise due to the permission issue of folder too. Try it. ??
