Having the same problem on the new version. Getting permanent redirects to the old website I made the backup from when trying to access WP admin.

    Latest version of WP.

this has happened before, what’s happening is that the search and replace process is failing before it finishes.
I’ll change the restore behavior in the next update so that you’ll be able to log into the site in such an event. for the time being, you could use this to do a manual search/replace

I would think this is the kind of error that would merit a quick fix update instead of having manually messing with the database and perhaps make things even worse. ?? Looking forward to updated wp-clone. ?? Cheers ??

I can confirm that this is occurring as well… eagerly awaiting the update. Keep up the great work!

As much as we don’t want to if this is not fixed soon we will have to find another backup and restore solution. ??

I love your plugin, but having the same problem with URL’s, not everytime, but for 1 out of 10 clones it happens. I’ve noticed that if this happens on 1 domain, it will happen with any other cloned website on that same domain, even if I delete all FTP files and install new WP.

Please update it ASAP, if you need any more details, I can provide all the login details to domains where it happened.

Yeah… I tried it 5 times yesterday on 3 different sites and it blew up each time. Found that going into PhpMYAdmin and changing the site URL to the new URL fixed it. Having said that…I really need it to work correctly. I used it everyday. I’m a WPMU customer already but will gladly send donate $ to fix it! I use it every day!

For what it’s worth to anyone also experiencing this issue. I went ahead and used “All In One WP Migration”. Worked perfectly:

Might be a good alternative solution until an update to WPClone is made.

One more comment to author, if you would add extensions like here https://servmask.com/ which allows to export cloned site with ability to rename file to GoogleDrive/Dropbox/Amazon and import it from there, I would pay $49 per extension.

Frankly I am really surprise this is not fix yet. I would ask the author to really give this some serious attention. ??

Just checking if the URL issue has been fixed yet … really hoping this gets fixed. ??

I have to run some real world tests beforehand, but yes a workaround is in place (you’ll be able to log in if/when search and replace has failed and do a manual search and replace from the wpclone dashboard)
