Sub-Sites emails still sending from main site name

  • All emails sent through Mandrill are coming from the main site. Site Name and Site Email address. I thought the plugin was suppose to enable sending email from sub-sites, with sub-site Name and sub-site Email associated with the sent message.

    How can I get this to work how I expected it to work? I’ve tested email sending form both sub-site and main site. Both have the same from email and name.

    Hi Robert,

    The plugin sets up the subsite name and subsite email for the subsite Mandrill settings, but only if the subsite has no wpMandrill configuration yet.

    It appears that you have already set the Mandrill settings in the subsite before installing the plugin. In this case the plugin does not touch your settings, because it is generally bad idea to override your preferred settings.

    Hi Marin,

    I’m also noticing this behavior. When I activate wpMandrill multisite the settings for existing and new subsites stick. If I try to change the From or Reply To on an individual subsite, the emails continue to come from the original email that was set when I activated wpMandrill Multisite. If I change the From or Reply To on the main site, the settings still stick. If I deactive and reactivate the wpMandrill multisite plugin, these settings still stick.

    Like Robert, I can’t seem to figure out how to change the email on subsites?

    Hey guys,

    I am unable to reproduce this issue. On each installation the plugin works correctly and in the subsite wpMandrill sends the emails by using the subsite credentials.

    I will need some more instructions on how to reproduce the issue.
