Open Recipe Cards in popup/lightbox/thikbox/colorbox… not in new post page?

I’ve tried many different kinds of popup plugins and tricks but nothing has worked so far. I’m using one page theme Minimable and my site is 12quailfarm.com
If you click on “Recipes” there and then on any recipe then you see what I mean. I’d like very much the recipes to open in a popup/lightbox/thikbox/colorbox… window instead of the current situation.
I’m not much of a coder but I can manage just fine if someone would tell me where and what to change. So far I’ve been reading endless forums on the subject and tried to make the single post (since the Recipe card uses posts) open in a popup but I’ve not managed to do so. The closest I got was opening all links in the full-width template in a popup with Shadowbox.js but that’s not what I want since some other pages there use the same template and the popup box displayed random info from all of these other pages.
The grid view I accomplished with Post Grid plugin. Tried also changing that plugin’s files but didn’t succeed either.
Could someone please help me?
