Properly formatting a template to add to my site

I am trying to add a template i have been working with for profile pages on my site. I got the code together and tried to use the builder template code to make it work. Then i put the code in notepad and saved it as a .php. I tried to upload this into the themes area and got this error PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. I have plenty of space on my server so it has to be the file right? The code I was using in as follows, if you see any obvious mistakes any help would be appreciated, I’ve spent 4 hours trying to read online what i’m doing wrong
