    Hello!
Dozens of our customer have been experiencing problems in the Password URL link, upon new registration.
I cannot found a pattern, but on daily basis, in the past 1-2weeks they have been complaining about this.
When they click on the link, the system return the error “Error 403 – Forbidden”.
Can you help? Is this related to the plugin and email or its our websites “problem”?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

    Hi apoioprofissional.com.br,
    Thanks for your message.

    Are you running multisite?
Can you post an example link (with anything sensitive omitted)?

Once I have this I should be able to help more.

    Thanks,
    Jack

Hello! thanks for the quick answer.
I’m running 2 sites, but not in a “multisite context and management”. They are managed separately with 2 installation of this plugin.

The error that all of them receive is this one:
    ” Error 403 – Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access the requested resource. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance.”
    Thanks

    Ok, thanks.

Are you able to post the line from the error log from your server for the 403 error in question? This should help me to work out if it’s a BNFW issue or something else.

    Thanks,
    Jack

Hello! I really don’t if this is an example of the error, but probably is:

[13-Nov-2015 07:25:33 UTC] wpMandrill Error: Error -1: Invalid API key
    [13-Nov-2015 07:25:33 UTC] 2015-11-13 07:25:33 wpMandrill::sendEmail: Exception Caught => Invalid API Key

    Thanks

    Hi,

Ah, in that case, the issue is most likely related to the Mandrill plugin.
Emails from BNFW aren’t being sent because the API key isn’t valid. You may need to confirm the API key is typed correctly or create a new one for the domain you’re using BNFW on.

Either way, once this is resolved, that you fix things for you.

Hope this helps and remember, if you like the plugin, please feel free to leave an honest review.

    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hello!
Perhaps that’s not the correct error. Sorry.
I say this, because the problems are not related to emails sent. They are sent, but the “password_url” when clicked returns the error that I mentioned. ??

    Ok.

Firstly, you need to fix that error relating to Mandrill because that is causing the 403 you are getting when you click on the password_url link in the BNFW email. If you do this, we can then look at the password_url issue.

Can you post an example of the Password URL from one of your emails?

    Thanks,
    Jack
