• I am using this plugin and I want to increase the size of text that displays within the WYSIWYG editor. For some reason it’s much smaller than it used to be and it’s too small for me to see and edit easily. I have been advised that tinyMCE Advanced has an option to increase the text size within the editor but I can’t find it. Is this correct?

To further clarify, I know how to change the font size in the web page as it displays. I only want a larger type size within the editor itself.

Right, this plugin adds font size drop-down to the editor but doesn’t change the base font size. That is controlled by the theme’s editor-style.css. You can probably edit that file (in your theme’s directory) and increase the font size, but the next time you update the theme, it will be overridden. Another option is to make a very small WP plugin to change that, or to make a child theme.

Thanks, Andrew. The things you suggest are thing that I don’t presently know how to do. But I want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing. I’m not concerned about any font that the public sees when viewing my site. I’m only concerned about the font I see when I’m working in the visual editor itself. The font as it displays publicly has not changed but for some reason the font in the back end editor is quite a bit smaller and hard to work with. Would your suggestions help with that problem?

Right, that font size is controlled by editor-style.css. You will need to find how to edit that file, and how to increase the base font (usually set on the body).

Thanks. I’ll see if I can figure out how to do that.
