Blocks Googlebot, BingBot and Slurp!

  • Some time in mid August 2015 this plugin stopped working and caused an error for the search bots which blocked them from viewing my sitemaps.

    Viewing my sitemap generated by Yeost SEO or Google Sitemap Generator as Googlebot returned a HTML page with the error message “Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: NO)”.

    This prevented my sites being indexed by Google and one site having 95% of pages de-indexed. Uninstalling the plugin on my sites resolved the issue.

    This is a shame as I had been using the plugin for 3 years.
