    Hi

First of all, thanks for a great application or plugin!

I am having some difficulties with certain characters, both in the front as well as backend. Although the issue seems more related to front end.

wp-config is set up with utf8 and I have no issues with norwegian characters anywhere else on the page, or with any other plugin.

    Would appreciate some help, thanks!

I observed something interesting regarding this problem:

the character issue with the black diamond only occurs in translations on calendar defaults. Front or calendar config/back-end views.

If I enter something, like defining a new category using native characters then these are displayed correctly.

So the problem only seems to be related to default configurations where language translation or replacement are being done. Well except one place; the “Go” button in the calendar interestingly also has a black diamond.

The issue exist nowhere else and with no other plugin.

It looks like the bundled Norwegian translation isn’t encoded in UTF-8. To confirm, you are using the locale no_NO?

So just to loop back on this, it seems like the translation file isn’t properly encoded. I’ll pull this version from the next release and try substituting a replacement
