Linking text within a page

  • I am trying to link from an list at the top of my page to a specific section down the page. In MS Front Page, it was called bookmark.

    I want to bookmark the first word in a paragraph down in the page from a sort list of menu topics. List Apples: Bats: Cats:
    I want to click on Apples: and have it take me to the paragraph about apples. Or, click on Cats: and have it take me to another paragraph on the page about cats. I read a post in the forum however I cannot seem to get it to work. Never mind it is way to laborious. Is there a plug in that it need to accomplish this in Visual mode? WYSWIG? Working in code is not my skill and after following the forum instruction, creating the code in note pad, copy and paste as shown into the text mode, just did not get it. Two hours later… please help. Thanks, MV
