Only wp-content/uploads not mobile friendly

  • I have a problem with my website. The customer facing portion of the website is quite mobile friendly according to the Google Mobile test as well as the page insights test.

    The only problem is that in Google Webmaster Tools/Google Search Console, Google is penalising me for only certain directories in the wp-content/uploads folder. These folders only contain images from certain months e.g. wp-content/uploads/2015/11/image.jpg kind of thing.

    How do I make these sub folders more mobile friendly to Google?

    There’s nothing you can really do to make wp-content/uploads more mobile friendly as everything that Google indexes in that area are multimedia files. I wouldn’t worry about this at all. Google isn’t penalizing your website pages / overall ranking.
