Problem with changing profile pic

Hi — I’ve seen people with similar problems listed in this thread, but none with my specific problem.

When I first signed up in WP, I must have connected my Facebook account to it through Gravatar so that whatever image displayed on FB would simultaneously show up on Gravatar. At first, this was fine, but now I see that when I want to show my professional work to potential employers, I would like to have a single professional image rather than whatever silly picture I might be using as my FB picture.

So I went to Gravatar and deleted the old image. I then went to the upper right corner and selected “Add an image.” I clicked “Upload New” to pull from my hard drive rather than from FB. I uploaded the image I wanted, cropped it and selected the appropriate rating (G).

I then went back to my post on WP … and it still has the silly picture from FB instead of the one that I uploaded directly to WP itself!

I searched the forums for an answer, and while a lot of people had “Change profile picture” as a topic, once someone told them the answer, “Go to Gravatar,” that solved everything for them. As you can see, I’ve already done that, and I’m still having problems.

Of course, in the meantime, I can simply change my FB profile pic to the more professional one. But I hope you can understand my frustration. If I specifically delete the old photo and choose one from my hard drive, why would WP still be showing my FB picture?
