API Key

  • Everytime I try to enter my API key to use the Akismet plugin, it says that it cannot connect to the Akismet.com website due to the API key. But I did just recently make the API key on wordpress.com.

    So does anyone know what I may be doing wrong?

    It’s hard to say. It could be a problem with your host not allowing fsockopen connections, or not having DNS setup right, or basically anything that would prevent the webserver from connecting to rest.akismet.com.

    Alright, well I’ll try to work around it. I have another question though.
    My site is https://mxscrubs.sportsontheweb.net

    Well I have the blog of course on the Home page, but is there a way they I can also make the News page a blog page too, where I can just click Write > Post and it will post on that page instead of Home, or like I can choose whether I want to post on Home or News? I’m not sure if I’m making sense but if you don’t understand please let me know.
