    Hi,

    Please can you help?

I’ve updated my events manager to the latest version to make sure it’s not a version problem.

I’ve found a possible bug – when you duplicate an event (using the ‘+’) and then change the event image in the newly created duplicated event – the event image in the original event that was duplicated gets deleted and doesn’t show up anymore.

Any ideas why this might happen?

    Best wishes,

    Chris Skelton.

  • Hi Chris,

I haven’t been able to replicate this. Which version of Events Manager are you using?

Do you get the same problem if you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

    Hi there,

I’m using Events Manager Version 5.6.1

I’ve tried deactivated all plugins – it still has the same problem.

When I duplicate any event and then just ‘update event’ (without changing the image in the newly duplicated event) the image in the original event DOES NOT DISAPPEAR. However, when I duplicate any event and then change the image in the newly duplicated event the image in the original event DOES DISAPPEAR.

Any ideas what this might be? Pretty weird!

    Best Wishes,

    Chris.

Also, to add to my previous reply – I changed to the default theme and also still had the same problem.

Are you running any custom or templates relating to Events Manager?

    Hi there,

I’m not running anything custom/templates that I know of…where would they be if I was?

I just downloaded the latest version of events manager and replaced the existing events manager plugin file structure with the most recent downloaded one so that it is completely fresh. However, even with this fresh upload it still has the same problem. Duplicated events that have their image changed causes the original event image to disappear.

    Any other ideas kind sir?

    Best Wishes,

    Chris.

    Hi,

Just to add also to my previous reply. When I click “duplicate” within the wordpress back end and change the image the image does not disappear in the original event. It’s only when I use the “submit event” form (clicking on the ‘+’ to duplicate that I have this problem).

    Thanks for any help

    Chris.

Can you clarify you last comment? Am I right in thinking doesn’t happen in the normal admin area, but only on the front-end submission form?

    That’s absolutely correct.

Ok, thanks. I’ve now been able to replicate this and I’ve passed the details on to the Dev team for them to look at.

    Hi,

Thanks for that – does this mean it could be months before there is a fix? Or is it something that might be included in the next update?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

I’m just wondering if you are able to give me a timescale if or when a fix might be able to be made for this (see above)? Any news would be useful. I understand you’re very busy people but would be really useful to know…

Thanks for your time…and a great plugin!

    Chris.

Sorry, there’s no ETA on this at the moment.

Update: This issue has now been addressed in the just released version of the plugin.
