    Hello,

Our wordpress site has very recently been updated to the latest release of the ShootingStar theme. Immediately after this update some of our right sidebar and footer widgets do not show up properly. More specifically, we have a few “custom menu” widgets saved in the right sidebar. We place them into the right sidebar and save them but immediately afterwards when viewing the website, these widgets are shown in the footer area instead. Same thing happens to a footer area “custom menu” widget, it is shown in the right footer area instead of the central footer area.

Is this a known bug of the most up to date version of the theme? Please advise on resolution steps.

    Hi,

if possible, please post here a link to your website so I could check it. I recommend you to deactivate all your installed plugins as there might be a plugin conflict that causes this issue.

    Best regards,

    Hello,

Thank you for the quick response. The site was working fine without issues in its previous ShootingStar theme release. The issue came up immediately after updating to the very latest ShootingStar release, we are using same plugins as before, so no changes occurred in the installed plugins.

Can you please provide guidance as to how we can revert our ShootingStar theme installation to its immediately previous release?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

you can download a ZIP package with the previous version on this link. Then please switch to a different theme, delete your current ShootingStar installation and upload the ZIP file through “Appearance > Themes > Add New”.

    Best regards,

Thank you for this information. Is there a way to backup my existing Shooting Star theme-related configuration, i.e. the widgets, menus, etc that I have configured, so that I can restore the configuration when the previous theme version is installed? Or will I have to manually re-customize the shooting star theme again after the previous version is installed?

    Hi,

if you install the previous version, all your configuration (like Theme Options, widgets and menus) will stay preserved.

    Best regards,
