How do I make the homepage look like the demo?

  • I have a website with no other plugins activated except Akismet and this theme installed.

    I’ve set the home page correctly in the Reading settings and double checked in the Customizer that it was correctly designated as the front page. I’ve set it with the Default template.

    I’ve also double and triple checked that /blog is the one designated as the Blog page, and that its template is Blog Template.

    Nevertheless, the home page options aren’t showing on my home page. You can see it here: https://mixitcrate.com

    It just doesn’t seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

    Also, HTML code doesn’t appear to work in the footer. The HTML you see in the current footer of my site is the default that came with your theme.

    Make sure you have the settings to show recent posts and not a static page.

    No problem. I’m not sure how to get the contact box to work though.

    I believe the instructions are in the readme file though I haven’t gotten that far yet:

    3. Integrating lead form:

    a) Install the FormGet contact form plugin.
    b) Go to Contact Form page from admin menu.
    c) Under the page, Create a form as you desired and go to dashboard page by clicking dashboard menu.
    d) In dashboard page, you will see you form. Click on Embed Form button.
    e) A page will be opened, then click on the Share Form Link menu link in left sidebar.
    f) Now copy the link from text field then paste it into Lead form setting via customizer.
    g) Now save the settings, Your form would be shown on the landing page.

    I’m a derp. I kept trying to embed the file after skimming the read me for 30 minutes. When you get to that step it’s as easy as just putting the URL of the actual form into it. Theme looks great, good luck on your site.
